GIfted and Talented Awareness

Henrietta ISD is now accepting referrals for the Gifted and Talented Program for students in grades K-12. A gifted/talented student is a child or youth who performs at or shows the potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to others of the same age, experience, or environment. A gifted/talented student is one who exhibits high performance capability in an intellectual area or excels in a specific academic field. Students may be referred by teachers, counselors, parents, or other interested persons. Referrals for testing this school year will be accepted November 8 through November 22, 2024.

A gifted and talented awareness presentation is attached for your reference. It includes some common characteristics of gifted students, an overview of the assessment process and gifted/talented services, and resources for families.

Please click the link below to access the online referral form. Referrals must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, November 22.
