Dear Henrietta ISD Family and Friends

As the beauty of the summer season is unfolding before our eyes and waiting to be enjoyed by all, a near normal set of days is coming. The bright sunshine, the cleansing rains, and longer daylight hours offer personal renewal and time to enjoy life’s opportunities.

With the school year ending Thursday, May 27, for Henrietta ISD students, I find myself reflecting about how our principals, teachers, and all staff have delivered miraculous instruction, care, service, and love.

On Thursday, May 20, the Henrietta ISD School Board voted to end the facemask mandate effective Friday, May 21 at 12:01 am. The decision to wear masks is optional and highly suggested. Things may have relaxed at school, but the quarantine guidelines and other protocols remain in effect. The school district will continue to monitor TEA guidance and will make appropriate adjustments to the Strong Start handbook.

As this school year ends, preparations are well underway for the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

As much as possible, Henrietta ISD plans for next year to be a traditional school year. Children learn best in a face-to-face environment, and HISD is anxious to have all our students back.

It has been a pleasure to serve you for the past 18 months. So many blessings have been revealed by the talents and dedication of the school board members, administrators, educators, and staff at Henrietta ISD.

This past year has challenged us to think deeply, to assess various perspectives, and to be guided by Henrietta ISD values, beliefs, and faith. Now, it is time for us to celebrate the successes at all grade levels.

Thank you for your resilience, adaptability, patience, support, and grace.

All In For Excellence
